  1. The current version of DocMan is designed to work with Ami Pro 2.0.
  2.  
  3. Installation instructions:
  4.  
  5. 1) Copy all files with an SMM extension to your Ami Pro 2.0 MACROS directory.
  6.  
  7. 2) Copy DOCMAN.EXE and all files with a DAT extension to any directory on 
  8. your DOS path.
  9.  
  10. 3) The Visual BASIC runtime DLL (VBRUN100.DLL) must also be on your DOS path.
  11.  
  12. 4) The remaining files are Visual BASIC source files which you may install
  13. anywhere you like.

  15. Operation:
  16.  
  17. 1) Execute DOCMAN.EXE.
  18.  
  19. 2) Use the Find Doc button to search for documents. When the Find Document
  20. dialog box appears, double click on keywords to select them, or simply drag
  21. them with your mouse to a search field. Select Go to initiate the search.
  22.  
  23. 3) The keyword fields on the main screen are editable, as is the description
  24. attached to each document. New keywords are added to the Keywords list 
  25. immediately. Changes in the description are also saved automatically.

  27. 4) The documents listed and described are dummy documents. You'll need to
  28. delete them and add new documents to the list to make DocMan work with your
  29. own documents.

  31. 5) To create a new document, select New on the File menu or click the New
  32. button on the Toolbar.

  34. 6) To open or print an existing document, select Open or Print on the File
  35. menu or drag the selected file to the Open or Print toolbar buttons by
  36. holding down the mouse key over the file's entry in the titles listbox.

  38. 7) To delete a document, select Delete from the File menu or click the Delete
  39. button on the toolbar or drag the file onto the Delete button.
